3/8" Giza Connector Kit

Printed with 100% all-natural plant-based PLA, the 3/8" Giza Pyramid Connector Kit is a 5-piece kit that connects eight 3/8" (9.5mm) wooden dowel rods (not included) together in the same dimensions as the Great Pyramid with a slope angle of approximately 51.8°. These dimensions have historically been one of the favorite choices of experimenters in the past, including Patrick Flanagan, Max Toth, and many others. You will need eight dowel rods, with the four bottom ones slightly longer than the four rising ones. To calculate the length of the rising dowels, multiply the length of the bottom ones by 0.951. So for example, if your bottom dowels are 16", then your rising dowels would be 15+3/16". If they are 24", then your rising dowels would be 22+13/16". If 36", then 34+1/4". If 48", then 45+5/8". Make sure you get the dowels as straight as possible. They can be cut with either a miter saw or a hand saw, whichever is easiest. Easily assembled, your pyramid should be placed upon a flat and level surface. If you find any of the dowel rods fit loosely in the holes, add a layer or two of tape to stiffen them up. Use for experiments, including testing to see if it can energize water, preserve food, grow larger sprouts, invigorate garden seeds, enhance the flavors of foods, and even sharpen razor blades!

 

Ideally, align your pyramid to either true north or magnetic north. After assembling, refer to the Alignment page for specific details.

These connector pieces are made from 100% all-natural, plant-based PLA. While they can handle being outside in the weather just fine, they could potentially warp in extremely hot weather if left out in the direct sun for prolonged periods of time. Partial shade should be fine.

​

While these connector pieces are usually in the color that is pictured, they could be in a different color, depending upon the availability of the PLA. I strive to ship out my products within three days at the most, but I cannot guarantee how long it will take USPS to deliver it to you. Usually, it will arrive within about a week from when you order it, but sometimes it can take up to three weeks for USPS to deliver it if there is some sort of delay on their end.

Please be sure to recycle any packaging. If it came in plastic wrapping, bubble wrap, including a plastic bubble wrap envelope, they can all be recycled with your plastic bags at local grocery stores like Walmart and Safeway.
